NYC Population Factfinder - Neighborhood data
This NYC-specific site from the NYC Department of City Planning remixes demographic, social, economic, and housing data from the Decennial Census and American Community Survey to make it easier to see neighborhood data and draw comparisons among geographies and over time. It helpfully grays out estimates that are not reliable.
IPUMS
Provides census and survey data from around the world integrated across time and space. IPUMS integration and documentation makes it easy to study change, conduct comparative research, merge information across data types, and analyze individuals within family and community contexts. Data and services available free of charge. Data includes decennial censuses from 1790 to 2010 and American Community Surveys (ACS) from 2000 to the present.
