Collection Development Policy

The first purpose of the collection is to support students in their classwork, as well as their personal and professional development. The collection should also support the research and learning needs of faculty and staff.

Because journalists have a responsibility to report from and to people with a wide range of identities and experiences, the collection should represent information by and about a wide range of human identities and experiences, including materials that foreground differences and the relationship of different identities and experiences to struggles for power, dignity, and justice.
