#BlackLivesMatter - Anti-Racism Resources

by Tinamarie Vella on 2020-06-05T11:18:00-04:00 in Diversity Resources | Comments

The Research Center of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY declares our opposition to the racial terror and state-sanctioned violence that shape the lives of Black people in the United States. Black lives matter. We share the sorrow and rage of our community and stand in solidarity with protests against police brutality. We hold ourselves accountable to work against the policing of CUNY and its libraries. This statement affirms our commitment to anti-racist practice and our pledge to use our skills and resources to advance the production of knowledge for social justice.

We stand in our commitment to be an accomplice in racial and social justice reform, and have compiled a list of resources to educate  regarding the systematic racism that permeates our society at large, and provide action items to dismantle these injustices. This is just a starting point, and we welcome suggestions and recommendations to continue the work.
